Karie Balon is a dedicated Hearing Instrument Specialist who joined our team in 2022 and works out of our Hamilton location. With a diverse background in speech and language sciences, audiology, and hearing care, Karie brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role.
Karie’s educational journey began at Brock University, where she earned a BA in Speech and Language Sciences (2011-2015). She then pursued further training at Georgian College, completing the Communicative Disorders Assistant program (2015-2016). This foundation allowed Karie to begin working in the audiology field, where she gained experience in various roles, including training, clinical work, patient care coordination, and ENT hearing testing. In 2023, Karie completed her studies as a Hearing Instrument Practitioner at Grant MacEwan University, a decision driven by her desire to make a more direct impact in helping people with hearing challenges.
Karie’s passion for helping others is evident in her patient-centered approach to hearing care. She’s committed to ensuring that her clients receive the best possible care and support, helping them hear the world more clearly and comfortably.
Outside of her professional life, Karie enjoys spending time with her adventure dog, Duncan, and loves outdoor activities such as hiking. She is also dedicated to staying active, with a passion for weight training and playing basketball. Her active lifestyle reflects her positive, energetic approach to both life and work.
